Sreesanth is a Good swing baller. He has ability to be the leading wicket taker in this world cup 2011. But in the first match against Bangladesh,MS Dhoni gave him an opportunity to open for India with ball. But Sreesanth could not get his line and length. He gave more than 50 runs to Bangladesh batsmen in only 5 overs. After that he could not get any chance to play for India till quarter final match against Australia. Probably he can get chance to play in the Semi final match against Pakistan.
He has ability but he could not prove himself in this world cup 2011. He was born February 6, 1983 in Kothamangalam (Kerala), India. He is a right-arm fast-medium-pace bowler and a right-handed tail-ender batsman.In first class cricket, he plays for Kerala and in the Indian Premier League, he plays for Indi Commandos Kerala. He is the first Kerala Ranji player to play Twenty20 cricket for India.
Sreesanth has got his ODI wicket aganist Srilanka. He was selected for his first Test squad in the home series against England in March 2006.
He has taken 4/95 in his debut appearance in the 1st Test in Nagpur.
