Soaring coconut prices : do they indicate golden time for farmers ?
The prices of coconuts and its dried counterparts has reached an all time high and is not showing any signs of going down . Does this give any indication that , the good time for coconut farmers has returned ?The price of coconut oil has gone to around Rs . 120 per litre . So has the price of the dired forms of coconut , which touch around Rs 7000 per quintal . There are many reasons for this high rise . But will this in any way help the coconut farmers , who have found themselves for some time in a ditch of despair ?
Discuss about the high prices , from the perspective of a consumer as well. Wont the consumer be now thinking that it was better if the ASEAN deal had been signed ?
