I agree with the author and the above comments on education. Like all other systems of our country, education is also devised by the Britishers to serve their national and administrative purposes.
After independence, we followed, furthered and improved further the same system without changing the core or base. What is done by the successive governments is only some cosmetic changes to create an illusion that there is change in the educational system. The system is like a factory producing items from raw materials, producing persons to fit the administrative aspect, from the students who enter the institutions for education.
What is required is a system to provoke the individual student to think and arrive at his conclusions and learn with of course the guidance of the qualified teachers/professors with the knowledge also to take care of the administrative needs of the country.
