Wild elephants enter towns
A wild elephant entered a street in Mysore and created lots of damages including the death of an individual. It is reported that four others were also injured. Cattle and vehicles were also not spared. The elephant is reported to have come from the wild life sanctuary, 40 km away and was accompanied by another elephant.Another report from Edathanattukara (Palakkad district in Kerala) states that a wild elephant killed a person by kicking into soil. People were trying to send back a herd of elephants which came to their village by shouting and creating other protests. One man, some how, became alone from the group and who was seen lying dead later due to the kicking of elephants.
Both these incidents show again that the dwelling places of these wild animals are no more secure as they are concerned. These animals do not get enough food and water from their available abodes. Man interfere in their freedom and cut short their space for living.
