Electricity charges to go up in Kerala
The government informed that all power consumers in the state have to pay a surcharge of 25 paise per unit for six months from October. The government informed that this is applicable only for those consumers whose monthly use is more than 120 units. The government will incur a lose of Rs 54 crore due to this. The finance ministry has accepted the proposal put forward by the KSEB regarding this. This extra charge will be used to equalize the loss faced by KSEB in buying electricity from the neighbouring states. The department has told that this will be followed for 6 months
What ever may be the decision of government, but the common citizens have to suffer. The things have turned up in such a condition. 2 weeks before, the price of petrol was increased. So we should not sit idle and must act upon against activities.
