Carelessness costing lives ?
Yesterday, two children were drowned in a culvert on National Highway in Thrissur. They slipped into the culvert when they were playing near it. The culvert was six feet wide. Their parents are rag-pickers, and were at work. The culvert was dug up as part of the construction activities on the National Highway. It's not a unique incident. The news like this we hear everyday. Either a casualty or a death. If a road gets constructed, the next day it will be half damaged. Potholes, culverts and all are taking someone's life every day. The authorities show no responsibility. How many people have lost their lives only due to this ? Really agonised to see all this. Those who are responsible for this should be punished well.
