Yes. Kashmir was a beautiful place and people used to flock there to spend holidays to enjoy the natural beauty of the valley and spend few days in the house boats. Kerala is another most beautiful natural beauty place where there are places for people of all interests to enjoy. In Kerala also there are facilities for boat house stay in the Northern half. Few days spent in Kerala will give the feeling of having spent the days in paradise. Following article is about Kerala Backwaters.

Kerala is gifted with water and greenery. Of course both are connected. The Western ghats on the eastern border and the Arabian sea on the western border make the suitable back ground for an attractive scene.Fresh water originating from the mountain area reach the Sea after passing through the plains of Kerala to make it fertile.
The question is are we the Keralites making use of it, or trying to retain it for the posterity. The area of the backwaters have reduced by one third due to filling and other activities. Actually these backwaters were so rich in biodiversity earlier. But now the situation is quite different. The production of fishery wealth also has come down. The greenery also is getting reduced due to urbanization. Hence we have to be little more nature lovers to retain the beauty of our State.

Most of the keralitis are nature lovers but in our modern life we have no time to spend to maintain this beauty of nature. We do not thinking about the consequences of it.
