    Attukal temple at Thiruvananthapuram is considered as the 'Sabarimala' of women. Attukal Pongala has entered into Guinness World Records as the largest women gathering festival in the world.
    Attukal Pongala is a 10 day festival in which pongala (boiled rise in earthen pot) is offered to Attukal Amma on the 9th day. This festival is conducted as a symbolic representation of victory of good over evil (victory of Attukal Amma over Pandyan King).
