Category: 2011 Kerala Assembly Election
#5375
The election as per the provisions of the law existing. The MLA was elected last time from the CPI-M. According to him he had grievances against some of the policies and practices of the CPI-m. Even with repeated attempt to discuss the issues there was no solution and according to the MLA he resigned as there was no option. If he has to resign from the party he has to resign the MLA post also.
Accordingly he resigned the MLA post and is standing for re-election. It is better than getting elected from one party and continuing the MLA post even after going over to another party. Here the people of the constituency has a choice to decide as to whether the MLA or the his erstwhile party is correct.
