Hi reubeen,
In my opinion, language is really a barrier for the Keralites who travels out of the state or even outside the country. The main reason behind this is the lack of proper education and the lack of communicative skills. The states other than kerala make it a point to teach all the students to read and write English language in the primary level itself. But now, the things are changing in quick pace. The schools, both private and government schools pay much attention to teach English and other required languages in the primary class itself. They are also arranging classes to improve the communicative skills of the children. Within few years, we could see a new generation who don't have language to be a barrier for the communication. The Keralite students will surely reach the top of the world.
Regards,
GOKUL
