    Labour rights versus labour responsibility

Kerala's labour force is very conscious about their rights. thanks to all the political parties.

Do they show the same interest in discharging duties?

    Hi antree,

You are right and it also seems that our labours in Kerala know of their rights only. They are having some of the worse demands, and can't be called it as their rights.

What explanation they can give for the "nookkukoolie"?
I think these are some of the things which our government should abolish from the society.

Many of the companies and firms are not willing to establish their firms in Kerala. The main reason behind this is they are afraid of the labours. The labours won't work, but they are in high demand of their rights. The protests are the common in front of all Kerala enterprises.

And it is a naked truth that all these protests from labours are lead in association with the leading political parties in Kerala. This make the "labour rights" a real evil in the society which can't be wiped out.

    Hi Antree
if there is an organisation, there should be a control power. At present condition the control power is out of order. So violation of the labor laws are common. 30% of government labor force not not discharging their duties. Only less than 20% labor force is doing their best to the government. Corruption and nepotism are entirely high in them due to less controlling power.

    Hi Antree

Kerala is not growing in the full sense of its potential due to the under utilisation of its resource.

Labour rights are essential but its not enforced in the right direction for the achievements of labours.Lesser knowledge of rights and more misconduct in ways of blind belief and following of some vested interest is the klling part of kerala when it comes to employment and labour developments. To an extend "Labour rights" are not good for Kerala's growth in the competitive market as the "rights" are not relayed on properly but mis used to distrupt the potential growth of a organisation or the labourer himself.

We can grow and more companies can come in to state servicing to attract wide scale employment to people if the people in state understand the concept of "Labour Right".

    Best regards,Vinesh

Labour is the one who uses his physical energy for a sort of manual work. Whom you find in this category?About their rights they are more than aware, Few yearsback few of them followed a truck bringing some wooden furniture for me at ernakulam. The labourers demanded 2000Rs,.there was a small open drain in front of my gate for cabling which was uncovered. so they justified"while carrying your furniture at the time of crossing the drain if our disc slip, who is responsible?so???
