Birthday celebration of Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer
Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer was born on November 1 1915. He was the first law minister of Kerala state during the rule of first communist government.In 1952 he was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly. In 1957 he became the law minister and served till 1959. He became the Supreme Court Judge in 1973. He is the last Supreme Court Judge who was also a politician. He has penned many books the most important being the Wandering in many worlds - The autobiography of V.R.Krishna Iyer. On Wednesday Governor P.Sathasivam along with his wife participated in the function as part of the 100th birthday celebrations of the legend. He performed his part very well whichever post he held. Even as a centurion he takes part in social activities and pens many books. We feel proud to live a life in which such a legend has lived. He is the role model for many youngsters of both old and new generations. My prayers for him to lead a healthy life for the years to come.
