Locals of Anchuruli helps you to reach the waterfalls and the water that comes from Erattayar River is store here for the Idukki hydro – electric project. A 2 km tunnel that passes through the mountain, connecting Erattayar and Anchuruli, carries water to the lake. Adventurous lovers can walk through tunnel during summer although its dangerous. Anchuruli is also an ideal place for fishing. Trekking is also possible with the permission from the Divisional forest office at Kanchiyar. Edapalayam, Para Valavu, Nellipara, Kozhikanam and Chakkupara are good trekking sports in Anchuruli.
