Rate the performance of E Ahammed as the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Railways

This thread is to discuss the opinion poll topic 'Did the appointment of Mr E Ahammed as the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Railways, helped Kerala?

In the present ministry, E Ahammed was included in the Railway ministry, so that the past neglectfulness would not happen and Kerala could achieve more developments. But I think it was of no use. He gave only some developments in malabar and the pathetic conditions of passengers remains intact. I would personally like to have some one else like ET Muhammad Bashir, MK Muneeer, or Kodikunnil suresh in that position.Let us discuss.

Once the Ministers are made they tend to work for the development of their area only. And in this case E Ahammed as the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Railways has shown some sort of interest in developing malabar region. He could have done more and concentrated on the basic problems of passgengers by now, but he failed.

In a Recent interview he said "since Kerala needs more inter-State and intra-State trains to cater to the demand from passengers", this is came from the minister in response to the delay of the state government for the sabari double track issue.

As for the state concerned he did his best, where as the national level concern he took finer steps to take the indian railways to it's next level. Ernakulam- Pune Bi weekly express is a major achievement from him and Railway tickets to mobile phones is the top initiative by Mr.Ahammed as of today.

What else we need from an Deputy Minister apart from that :D

    Dear friends,
All of you forgot the famous Lalu-Velu magic? In all the 5 railway budgets of the previous government, lion's share of the projects and money were divided among bihar and tamilnadu (ie, lalu and velu). No other state stood no where near them. They neglected us very much. Because of this, all of us thought that it would have been good, if keralites had a deputy minister in the Railway ministry. Because of the strong holds of AK Antony and other senior leaders, we got the post this time. But we didn't see any mamatha-ahammed magic, but saw only mamatha magic. Even though some projects like MEMU were announced, it still remains in papers. Also the doubling procedure is sagging. We are trying to make double lines, while there are triple and quaternary lines in some other places. Railway time table is just a paper without any validity. In most of the trains, there will be people more than twice it's capacity.
