Yes PSC scam has become a big issue in Kerala and now it is gaining India's attention too. The latest feed back is that the police were not allowed inside the PSC office to make any arrest. Director-General of Police Jacob Punnoose has said that sanction from either the Governor or the Public Service Commission chairman is required for the police to carry out investigation in the PSC. If such is the state of affairs , then think of investigation on which level it will takes place.

Yes the corruptions are haunting kerala. Not only Kerala, the whole country is under the black hands of corruption. The politicians and beaurocrats have no shame to act like the saviors of common men in day light and enjoy the company of black money in the darkness. Now if we have money, it is possible to decide the ministers by ourselves. If you have money, you can be a minister in the government..not only that, you can rule the ministry that you like!!! If you have money, you can cross over any laws of the government, money will find out the hidden loop holes in our laws!! If you have money, you can be at any posts even if you have no certificates or even if you haven't appeared for the entrance test. It is the money that rules the world...
Democracy's new face is for the money, by the money and of the money... Even in the midst of this, we were blessed to have a powerful judiciary and medias. But now we are familiar with the inner minds of famous media persons. If they do like this, it will be very much easy for the politicians, beaurocrats and the business magnets to hide the corruptions of crores and crores of money...Judiciary had also lost its faith in some states. If this is allowed to continue unchecked, it will surely be a big black mark for the emerging power of the world.

Not only Keralites, but every an Indian, is now experiencing the sour taste of corruption in one way or other. Ashamed to say, being an Indian, I too am sitting calm and going along with all these, unreacted and eyes closed. This is just because, unless a massive protest is made to eradicate corruption from the root level itself, nothing is going to change. That is the present state of the growth of corruption and malpractices. Just for an instance, to collect the death certificate of my father, I had to spend multiples other than the needed, to satisfy the officers! This is the real scenario in each and every deal, you have with government offices. As Mr. Thomas Cheriyan emphasized, without money, no one can go ahead. If you have money, you will get V.I.P. treatment and salutation even at the police station, even if you are the guilty.

In fact corruption has become the life blood of political parties in India. Much as we all want to root out this evil practice, it is easier said than done, because corruption, favoritism, and communalism has taken deep roots into our polity. The PSC employment scam wouldn't have been possible without the active involvement of politicians at some level as the top brass of the Commission are political appointees. But so far we hear nothing about them. Only the small fish are caught as usual while the big sharks go scott-free. Whatever be the ideological pretensions of political parties, once in power, they all act alike. For the common man, it is always the same. While the rich get ahead in every segment of society with their money power, the poor continue wallow in misery. Enlightened citizens should come forward to fight this evil. Even an organization on the model of WikiLeaks is necessary in India to expose corruption at higher levels. People can also make use of advanced technological gadgets like cam mobiles and voice recording devices to trap the corrupt and expose them before the public.
