Cricket in Kerala

Why Keralites are not more in the field of Cricket? other than a Sreesanth or a Kuruvila, we have no other cricketers from the God's Own Country.

Our sports ministry should find out the talented players and encourage them
so that in future, we can see more Mallus in the International level.

Good post. Kerala is not at represented in first class cricket. Though state sport authority do churn out good cricketers, the National selection committee often overlooks good talents spread over the Country. Maharastra and other states always dominatated in the selection process and south gets second hand treatment.

I think Cricket is not a suitable game for a state like Kerala.It requires more time and more money.Generally it makes people lazy by sitting in front of TV for a whole day.That is why it turned to a new mode recently through T-20.

Now regarding Kerala Cricket, there are some talented players.But when considered in National level they reach only to second or third standards.That is why we have no reps in National team.
