With the govt granting permission to oil companies to decide price factor themselves, they are resorting to discriminate hike without even bothering of social commitment by the govt towards the poor and the voters. In the garb of loses these companies are hiking the petrol without even consulting the Ministries. Down with such policies.

When our Government become weak and is forced to act according to the whims and fancies of 'others' what else we can expect. It is certain that the price of petrol will still go up, because it is the oil companies which are deciding how much they have to charge.
At the same time if we are having a Government which are concerned about its people's welfare, it can reduce the price by cutting the Excise and tax rates charged on oil products. Even the State Governments can do something in this.
