    World Forest Year

    This year, 2011 is declared as the 'World Forest Year' and will be celebrated by passing the message of protecting the remaining forest resources. In Kerala also something has to be done in this. Minimum required area of forest in any country is one third (33%) of the total area.Presently Kerala has somewhere around 8 to 9 percent only. Any wonder in increasing the atmospheric temperature?

    I am very happy to see an environmental related thread here.At the same time I am unhappy as there is not an even reply for this thread so far.
    We had forgot about our nature.The climate is getting totally changed from day to day.We do not think about the reasons.Deforestation is a major cause of this climate change.One may ask where is this deforestation occuring.All over the world this is carrying on.So in this forest year we can have a new idea.

    Celebrate your birthdays by planting a tree rather than spending a huge amount for merrymaking.Are you ready?
