Kerala State School Kalolsavam 2013 Live webcast on Victors

The stage is set for the grandiose show which will be a unique stage where the vibrant youth of Kerala compete for the title. We are speaking about the 53rd Kerala Sate School Kalolsavam 2013 which is going to be held at Malappuram from 14th January to 20. Participants from 14 districts will participate in the Kalolsavam (Youth Festival) which will be a platform for the young generation to showcase their talents. Earlier the logo of the Kalolsavam was published by Hon.Minister of state for external affairs E.Ahamed at a meeting held at MSP Higher Secondary School, Malappuram with the presence of Hon. Minister of education P K Abdurabb. The logo was designed by Sathish Kumar, a drawing teacher at Palora HSS, Ulliyeri, Kozhikkode.

Being the annual youth festival for school students from Government schools in Kerala, the Kerala School Kalolsavam gives a festive mode for the participants and viewers. The programme which is held under the guidance and monitoring of the education department of Kerala had been running successfully for the past 56 years with pride and spirit.

The Kalolsavam (Youth Festival) gives a unique opportunity for students to express their talents. Started in 1956-57, with 200 participants, the school Kalolsavam has now become one of the most widely talked stage for students with more than 10,000 participants competing in various programmes which run for 7 days. The stages will be decorated in such a way, it attracts thousands who gather together to bring the Kalolsavam a grand success. Participants from various districts will be provided delicious food.

The highlight of the Kalolsavam will be various events including Kathakali music, Mohiniyattom, Aksharaslokam, Margomkali, Kuchipudi, Yakshaganam, Band display etc. The winner of the Kalolsavam will receive an ever rolling Golden Cup of 117.5 sovereign gold designed by Chirayankeezhu Srikandan Nair. Apart from the ever rolling trophy, winners will get numerous trophies, cash prizes and grace marks.

Kalathilakam & Kalaprathiba which was adorned the youth festival was dispensed to avoid eliminate unhealthy competition. Students studying in Std.VIII to Plus 2 will participate in the youth festival has proved to be an exceptional platform for the budding talents.
