Sandeep Warrior to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 6(2013)
Sandeep Warrior would have been in cloud nine getting a call from Royal Challengers Bangalore to play for their team in IPL 6(2013). Impressed by his bowling of Sandeep at nets during the last ODI between India and England, it was Virat Kohli who suggested his name. Hailing from Trissur, Sandeep had a terrific Ranji Trophy season claiming 24 wickets.
Even though cricketing fans in Kerala will not have their own team to cheer up for the 2013 edition IPL, the spirit of 20-20 would rise to its peak as Sandeep Warrior steps into the field. With the 6th edition of IPL gears up for a majestic show on ground, Kerala's new cricketing sensation Sandeep Warrior could be spotted in Royal Challengers Bangalore cracking jokes with Virat Kohli and other team mates. The official announcement is subject to the approval from BCCI. 21 year old right-arm medium pacer Sandeep who hails from Thrissur made his dream debut in this season Renji Trophy claiming 24 wickets in 5 matches.
Being selected to BCCI fast bowlers academy in 2013 and Indian University camp, Sandeep kept the Indian cricketers under nail during the net practice during the last ODI between India and England. Impressed by his bowling, cricketer Virat Kohli suggested him for the RCB camp and was later called for the selection trials. The right-arm medium pacer Sandeep rocketed the ball to hit the target several times. Sandeep who put forward an impressive show claimed 6 wickets for 44 runs with an overall performance of 8/82 which brought 35 runs of thrilling win for Kerala during the match against Jharkhand played on 22nd December 2012.
Sandeep would be one among the 22 players in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad which include 6 overseas players. Signed for a contract of one year, Sandeep would be looking forward to make his IPL debut impressive. The young cricketer who keeps high regard towards S. Sreesanth has lot to say about his role in developing confidence.

With the advice and training given by Rammohan, Sandeep climbed up the ladder pooling into the Kerala under 22 team in 2012. His grandiose performance gave his a place in Kerala under 25 one day squad. He was also a part of the Vizzy Trophy representing South Zone.
