Early Life
Rima Kallingal, the young beautiful actress of South India hails from Thrissur district of Kerala. She was born on 19th January 1984 and is a Hindu by birth. She is a model and a trained dancer who has appeared in ad films, television programs and in films. She was awarded as the First Runner Up in the Miss Kerala 2008 contest. Rima has appeared in the 'Parthas' ad by Rakesh Gopan and in an ad for 'Arabian Jewelers'. Rima learned dancing at an age of three years. She is a dancer by profession and had performed in various stages in and out of India. She did her schooling from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Thrissur. Then she did her graduation in Journalism. Rima has also performed in a reality show 'Vodafone Thakadhimi' in Asianet channel. Even though she was not the winner, she was one among the semi-finalists. Filmography
Rima Kallingal's entry into the film industry was in the year 2009. From then she never had to look back as she had lot of offers one after one in her hand. Her debut movie was "Ritu", directed by Shyamaprasad. The movie talks about three childhood friends. Rima (Varsha John), Asif Ali (Sunny Immatty)and Nishan (Sarath Varma) appeared in the role of those three friends. Rima has put forward excellent performances in this movie and she was nominated for the Asianet Award for Best Actress.
Rima's next film was "Kerala Cafe", the first one of its type in Malayalam. In this film her role was in the short film "Mrityunjayam", directed by Uday Ananthan. It was the fourth segment and Rima got a lead role in this movie as well. The third film done by Rima was "Neelathaamara", directed by Lal Jose. In this movie Kailash and Archana Kavi played the lead roles when Rima appeared in a supporting role as 'Shaarathe Ammini'. Rima's first movie of the year 2010 was "Happy Husbands", directed by Saji Surendran. This film also had good collection.
Rima's first film in Tamil was "Ko", directed by K. V. Anand. She made a special appearance in this movie. "Yuvan Yuvathi", directed by Kumaravelan was her second Tamil movie. It is a romantic film starring Bharath and Rima Kallingal in the male and female lead roles respectively. She made awesome performance in this movie.

"22 Female Kottayam", directd by Aashiq Abu featured Rima Kallingal and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. This movie was well received at the box-office. Rima appeared as 'Tessa', a nursing student.
