'Bunty Chor', is an upcoming malayalam movie featuring Nixon C George in lead. In an exclusive chat with SpiderKerala Nixon shared his experience of donning the role of Bunty Chor, the hi-tech thief who became an overnight hero in Kerala. Directed by Mathews Abraham, the movie is produced by Ruby Vijayans under the banner of Happy Ruby Cinema. Flavoured with all essence of a commercial movie, 'Bunty Chor' is made with a budget of 2 Crore.
'Bunty Chor', the name truly is a surprise for those who know about him. Bunty Chor alias Devinder Singh might have given sleepless nights to many people but this hi – tech thief who became an overnight hero in Kerala have brought luck to Nixon C George.
Riding high with modeling and business, Nixon was chosen to don the character of Bunty Chor in an upcoming project helmed by debutant director Mathews Abraham. Not much surprised about the call, Nixon got an opportunity to pool into the life of Devinder Singh who suffers from Paranoid Schizopheria which made him a stealing maniac.
Speaking to SpiderKerala, Nixon shared his experience donning the character of 'Bunty Chor' who is known for his notoriety getting indulged in more than 500 burglaries. "Yes I play the role of Bunty Chor alias Devinder Singh, the 'Indian Robin Hood' who pulled the media on to his side with his acts. The knowledge about his real life is worth exciting. Even though caught following the theft in Kerala, Bunty still remains a wonder.
When known that a film is being planned featuring about him, I too applied through an advertising agency and got selected for the role. To get perfection, I had made a journey into his previous life and read more about him. said Nixon.
"For more excitement, the first schedule of the movie was carried out at the mansion of Venugopalan Nair in Thiruvananthapuram where the real 'Bunty' had done the theft. He came to the city with a big purpose in mind. After committing the hi – tech robbery Bunty Chor leaves the city but loses the bag which did had the theft objects. Rest of the story is based on the investigation of the bag which unveils the real suspense making the movie thrilling. I am enjoying each moment of the shooting as the cast and crew are too co operative". Nixon told us.
While enquired about his profession, Nixon was happy to share about his business undertakings. "Yes I run a chain of business endeavors spread across India. I do have offices in metro cities including Delhi. I had been with modeling too for the past few years. I wish I have a good time in acting and looking forward for more opportunities". signs off Nixon.
Made with a budget of 2 Crore is produced by Ruby Vijayans under the banner of Happy Ruby Cinema after the previous venture Lokpal. Flavoured with all essence of a commercial movie, 'Bunty Chor' will be an action thriller which would keep the audience intact as it reach theatres in June.
