The Kerala government has recently introduced the Tourist Visa on Arrival, TVoA facility for the foreign visitors of the state at Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi International airports in order to give boost for tourism. Presently the Tourist Visa on Arrival TVoA facility is available for the foreign citizens belong to 11 countries. The names of the countries Finland, Japan, Indonesia, Laos, Luxembourg, Myanmar, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia. Tourists from the above-mentioned 11 countries can make a request for a visa upon their arrival to Kerala state at any of the two airports. Special Tourist Visa on Arrival counters have been arranged at both Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi International airports. The fee for TVoA is 60 US dollars and the validity of the TVoA is 30 days. In a year, tourists can avail the issue of visa twice. The tourists need to come for sightseeing, recreation and for meeting friends and relatives in Kerala for availing the TVoA facility.
Tourists wishing to avail the TVoA facility need to have a passport with a minimum validity period of six months. While applying for the TVoA, the foreign tourist needs to produce the proofs of return tickets and confirmed hotel booking.
