Staff Selection Commission( SSC) has published the notification for combined graduate level examination 2014 for the recruitment of suitable candidates through open competitive examination for various ministries as Assistant, Inspector, Examiner, Auditor, Accountant etc.,
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has notified Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2014 for recruitment to various Group B and Group C posts in various central government departments and ministries.The notification for this year is released in the midst of the CGL 2013 controversy, which is stayed by honorable high court after the tier 1 examination which was vacated to conduct tier 2 examination and the results of tier 2 examination and interview process is still pending as the case is still pending in Central Administrative Tribunal. CGL 2014 notification is issued as per the SSC calendar published last year, but it will purely depend on the the result of the CGL 2013 issue in court for this year examination to be proceeded as per the tentative dates mentioned. Combined Graduate Level Examination is the lower level examination for recruitment to Group B and Group C services, who will employed under the Group A officers recruited through Civil Service Examination. Since there is a very good scope to enter the Group A posts through promotion, this examination is considered to be one of the important examination every year.

Educational Qualification
Statistical Investigator Grade 2 : Degree with statistics as main subject or degree with Mathematics/ Economics/ Commerce with statistics as one of the optional subject.
Compiler : Degree with Economics or Statistics or Maths as main or elective subject.
For all other posts any recognized degree
Final year students cannot apply SSC CGLE 2014 as the the qualification obtained should be on or before 01.01.2014.
Age Limit
Statistical Investigator Grade 2 - should not exceed 26 years (born not earlier than 02.01.1988).
Assistant/Sub-Inspector in CBI - 20 to 27 years ( born not earlier than 02.01.1987 and not later than 01.01.1994).
All other posts - 18 to 27 years ( born not earlier than 02.01.1987 and not later than 01.01.1996).

Scheme of Examination Tier 1 Examination : Each paper below will be for 50 marks each with a composite time of 120 minutes without sectional cut off.
