Swaha: A movie on a woman of 21st century
Swaha malayalam movie directed by debutante dual directors Rajesh - Usman will have Sona and Avinash in lead. Under the banner of P.C.G Movies, 'Swaha' is being produced by Vinod Periya. Madhusudhan, Mamukkoya, Kollam Thulasi, Bijukuttan, Johny, Kozhikode Narayanan Nair, Vinod Peria, Satheesh Vettikavala, Joby, Kannur Sreelatha, Ranjini Raju, Sreyani and Charulatha would give life to other important roles.
Dual directors Rajesh – Usman who wish to create a space in the malayalam film industry is ready with their directorial venture which Swaha tells a tale from the point of view of woman. Titled 'Swaha', the movie tries to engage with the present generation zooming into their views and thoughts. Swaha revolves around the life of Sreedevi, an orthodox hindu women who breaks away all taboos later in the juncture of a unavoidable situation. It pools into the transformation of a typical lady to a 21st century women.
Set in the background of a village and city, Sreedevi (Sona) a woman good at heart gets married to a Unni(Avinash) who was born in a noble family. As she didn't know that the marriage was a trap, she had to suffer a lot. During the life journey, Sreedevi had to face many difficulties.
Even though, her life was pathetic, she tried to face the circumstances with brave heart. But as situations become worse, Sreedevi couldn't bear it and was forced to break away all the religious and cultural laws and had risen as a 21st century woman. The revenge taken by Sreedevi for those had betrayed and destroyed her life forms the crux of the movie.
Avinash who has graduated from the school of drama has made a strong presence in the movie. Through his majestic performance, Avinash gets a rare opportunity to find his own place in the industry. 'Swaha' is being produced by Vinod Periya under the banner of P.C.G Movies.
Madhusudhan, Mamukkoya, Kollam Thulasi, Bijukuttan, Johny, Kozhikode Narayanan Nair, Vinod Peria, Satheesh Vettikavala, Joby, Kannur Sreelatha, Ranjini Raju, Sreyani and Charulatha would give life to other important roles. For the lyrics of Kaithapram, Madhusudhan, Neha Gayal and Rajith Manakkodu, the music is set by Sudarshan. The cinematography is handled by Hari Prasad.
