PSC Last Grade Servant (LGS) 2014 Exam Syllabus


Kerala PSC Last Grade Servant (LGS) 2014 exam syllabus (Category No: 567/2013) is given here. Kerala Public Service Commission will be conducting the Last Grade Servant exam from 20 September – 20 December 2014. To be held in 7 stages, the OMR based multiple choice exam is being attended by more than 5 lakh candidates.

The Kerala Public Service Commission has made all arrangements to conduct the Last Grade Servant (LGS) 2014 exam. With more than 5 lakh candidates applied for the rising vacancies in 14 districts, the exam will be conducted in 7 phases. According to the exam schedule, the Last Grade Servant (LGS) test will start from 20 September and ends on 20 December 2014. The Ranked list for this post will be published on 30th June 2015. An objective type test (OMR Valuation) based on the qualification prescribed for the post will be conducted to fill the posts in for arising vacancies all districts of the states.

PSC Last Grade Servant (LGS) 2014 Exam Syllabus


The exam syllabus for Last Grade Servant consists of 3 parts:
  • Part I General Knowledge

  • Part II General Science

  • Part III Simple Arithmetic

  • Part One deals with general facts related to Kerala state. Questions related to social science and science can be asked for the exam. More emphasis is given to historical and economical significance of the state. Social and Industrial development along with achievements made in the fields of Literature, Science, Cultural and Sports form the core of the syllabus. Regarding the simple arithmetic section, Simple arithmetic problems while include mental ability questions can be expected.

As the mode of exam is in Malayalam, applicants should have deep knowledge about the area of topics as mentioned in the syllabus. This OMR sheet based exam with 100 questions will be conducted at various centres in Kerala. As negative marks are included, much care should be given while answering each question. The dates for issuing of the hall tickets will be announced later.
