Ingredients


1Moderate lemon - 2 no
2 Gingellyoil - 3/4 cup
3 Green chilly - 3 no
4 Red chilly - 4 no
5 Tamarind - 1 no
6 Turmeric powder - 1/4 table spoon
7 Chilly powder - 3 table spoon
8 Salt - As per taste
9 Asafoetida powder - 1/4 table spoon
10 powdered sugar candy - 1/4 cup
11 Mustard - 1 table spoon

How to prepare


Check whether the ingredients are present in front of us. First remove the outer skin of each lemon and then cut them in to no pieces. Take a bowl and heat the oil in it. Now add the lemon pieces along with some green chilly and red chilly and broil it. Take one cup of water and squeeze out the tamarind in the water. Now boil this water by adding ingredients such as sugar candy, powdered asafoetida, turmeric powder and the chilly powder. After boiling add the broiled lemon mixture to the bowl and make it in a paste manner. Then keep it aside. Take a pan and heat the remaining oil in it. Crack the mustard in the oil along with some curry leaf and pour it above the pickle. Then keep it aside for cooling. Now lemon pickle is ready for use. This can be stored in bottle and can be used for long time.
