Malayala Manorama Yuva Mastermind 2014 - 2015 is a contest being organized for college and school students. Entries have been invited for the Malayala Manorama Yuva Mastermind 2015 with the contest opened for science and technology projects that can be exhibited as working models. With a huge prize money offered for winners the content would open doors for future inventions.

Yuva Mastermind is back with full power offering some exciting prizes for the young talents. The key objectives of the content include igniting the flame of innovation in science and technology in young minds, to sustain their interest through technical and financial support, to provide a common platform bringing creative young minds together and also to promote sustainable societal development through innovation in clean and green technologies.

Entries have been invited for the Malayala Manorama Yuva Mastermind 2015, a contest organized for college and school students. This contest is opened for science and technology projects that can be exhibited as working models. Opening doors for future inventions and inventors, the Yuva Mastermind is meant for those who are not satisfied with the current inventions.

With the technical support offered by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of Amaljyothi Engineering College, Kanjirappally, Yuva Mastermind will set the platform for some innovative concepts.

According to the organizers, the prize money for the college level is as follows: Rs 1 lakh (1st prize), Rs 60,000 (2nd prize), Rs 40,000 (3rd prize). Meanwhile for the school level the prize money would be Rs 50,000 (1st prize), Rs 30,000 (2nd prize), Rs 20,000 (3rd prize). Considering the practicability, novelty and social relevance, the organizers would give a financial assistance to 25 teams each selected from college and school levels to complete their projects. Study projects which cannot be exhibited will not be considered for the content.

This competition is opened for students of professional colleges in the state including medical and engineering, technical institutes, art and science colleges across the state. Students of 9th standard to Plus Two can compete under the school category. According to the rule set by the organizers, a team shall have a maximum of five students and a project guide who should be a teacher/lecturer in the same institution.

An institution can send any number of teams, but a team will be allowed to present only one project. The project should be finished within a period of three months. All the teams have to provide a short project description while the expert committee will have an interaction with them. 25 teams would be selected from each category and the winners would be announced after an exhibition held later.

Interested teams should intimate Yuva about the project and the plan to present it. Along with the basic details, a description about the project not exceeding one page and its financial estimate should be send to the follow address.
