Pedithondan: A light hearted movie for the mass
Pedithondan malayalam movie directed by Pradeep Chokli featuring Suraj Venjaranmoodu and Anusree in lead is ready for release. Scripted by U Prasannakumar, the movie is being produced by Anaswara under the banner of Anaswara Cinemas. Madhupal, Sreehari, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Nuriya, Ullas Pandalam and Binu Adimalli have given life to other promintent characters. The camera has been helmed by Vipin Mohan. For the lyrics of Ramesh Kavil and Prasanth Krishan, the tunes are set by Kanjiragadu Rama Chandharan.
Suraj Venjaranmoodu, the Natational award winner is ready to entertain the moviegoers with his next outing. The movie titled 'Pedithondan' helmed by debutante Pradeep Chokli featuring Suraj Venjaranmoodu and Anusree in lead is ready for release. Scripted by U Prasannakumar, the movie set against the backdrops of rural locales of Malabar zooms into the life of a youngster who fears fire and the traditional rituals like Theyyam.
Rajeev (Suraj Venjaramoodu) is a young man who lives in a village which is much acknowledged as the land of Theyyam. For his innocent behaviour and sincere love towards others, he is loved and cared by the villagers. Due to his fear towards fire and also the outlook over traditional rituals like Theyyam, Rajeev escapes from the village leaving no clue about his dearth. His missing creates lot of issues in the village.
As per the traditions and customs, Rajeev too had to be a part of the Koodiyattam donning the Theyyam outfit. According to the faith, if the ritual was not done, the Kavu and the related customs will be lost forever. As it challenged the existence of nature and also the people, villagers put a sincere effort to find Rajeev. In the next phase, interesting things get shaped which forms the crux of the movie.
The movie is being produced by Anaswara under the banner of Anaswara Cinemas. Madhupal, Sreehari, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Nuriya, Ullas Pandalam and Binu Adimalli have given life to other promintent characters. Anusree would be paired opposite to Suraj playing the character of a school teacher while Madhupal also appears as Rasheed, a school teacher.
