Edakkal caves : Edakkal caves is located 25km from Kalpetta. A trek of about 45 minutes through the Ambukutty mala is needed to reach at this destination. Carvings of humans and animals that are believed to have been built in 6000 BC can seen inside the cave. Entry to cave is from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Chembra peak : An ideal trekking place, Chembra peak, situated 2100 m above the sea level is the highest peak in Wayanad. From this peak one can see the parts of the districts such as Malappuram, Kozhikode etc. It takes a three hour trek from the Meppady town to reach this fascinating destination. One of the most attraction here is the heart shaped lake, which never dried up can seen on the way to this peak.
Waterfalls : Number of waterfalls can see here which include Meenmutty, Chethalayam and Setinel rock waterfall. Meenmutty, the second largest waterfall in Kerala is located 29km from Kalpetta. Water falls from 1000 feet over three stages offer a triple-decker effect to the tourists. Sentinel rock waterfall which is also known as needle rock or Soochipara is located 22km from Kalpetta. Chethalayam, a lovely waterfall located 12km from Sulthan Bathery is an ideal place for trekking. Activities
