Early Days
Andrea Jeremiah was born on December 21, 2015 into an Anglo-Indian Roman Catholic family settled in Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. Her father is a lawyer at the Chennai High Court and her mother is a homemaker. She has a younger sister who works as a research assistant at Leuven, Belgium. Though, Andrea Jeremiah was born in Arakkonam, she was raised in Chennai as her father worked there. After completing her elementary education, she was put in Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School for the rest of her higher secondary education. She completed her 10th class with flying colours. Later, she joined the Women's Christian College for her higher studies. In her earlier days, Andrea Jeremiah learned how to play piano. Under the tutelage of her parents, she learned to play Western classical music on piano. When she was initiated into music, the young Andrea Jeremiah was only 8 years old. By the time she was 10 years old, the young girl had become a part of the Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars. It was on this platform she perfected the singing skills. While working with the same troupe, she even learned about the art of music composition. She was also a theatre artist in her college days. She worked in several stage plays under the aegis of The Madras Players and EVAM. Since she was associated with the theatre, Andrea Jeremiah knew the predicaments of artists. Her real breakthrough in the world of cinema came when noted Tamil movie director Gautham Menon gave her a leading role in his next flick Pachaikili Muthucharam. The director seems to have observed closely the young Andrea in her previous work in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyadu. Her maiden movie was a filmy adaptation of a James Siegel's novel Derailed. In this flick, the upcoming actress did the role of a homemaker whose husband has engaged in a love affair with another girl.
