Lord assumed an extra ordinary large size with feet at Thrippadapuram, navel at Thiruvananthapuram and head at Thiruvallom. Sage requested Lord to shrink. Immediately Lord shrank and perceived the present size of deity in the temple. Sage prayed Padmanabha to be forgiven. Later swami offered rice kanji and uppumanga to Lord. Ananthankadu Nagaraja temple still persists in the north western region of Padmanabhaswamy temple.
