Our world in 2050 :

Oh! how small our world has become due to the fast advances in science technology and communication.

In 2050 it will become still smaller and everybody will be in close contact. Our life expectancy will be over 150 yrs and scientists predict near immortality. Wondering how! Just read on.. Nano particles also called Nano robots will be injected in our body which will clear blocks in blood vessels, kills cancer as well as fight all other kinds of diseases. Rewiring of brain will be possible and so nobody will forget anything we learned. We will get spare parts of all organs including brain from shops and thus we will be able to renew old parts and be young, happy and sweet all the time. Study of gene and human genome project will enable us to cure most of the diseases like diabetis, hypertension, asthma, mental illness etc by so called genetic engineering technology. People will get married only after checking the genetic map instead of horoscope in 2050. As nano technology has already been invented the first person to live upto 150 yrs is already born. Elimination of killer diseases may create problem in 2050's says scientists. As the life expectancy will increase the number of old aged people with low immunity will be on rise and thats when a global pandemic might strike which could be more virulent and millions may die. A software virus that disables an artificial heart could be spread accidently and maliciously. Prophets of immortality may be defeated by problems that crop up in 2050 and people may die of something we can't imagine today.

Cultures of tissues and human organs from stem cells is possible even today. Cloning makes identical organisms and may create extinct life forms like dodos and dinosaurs from cells available from fossils. We will also be able to prevent various animals from getting extinct. Imagine the world with several types of animals from bygone era !!

Artificial intelligence is another advance which may alter the destiny of the world in 2050. Imagine a machine which works on thought process. For example, helping a deaf and dumb person's thoughts to be converted into speech and heard by all of us or a machine which will convert printed matters into speech which could be heard by the blind. Human brain is only a sophisticated computer according to some scientist. By 2050 people will be uploading their memories to computers. Futurology unit of britain tells that a kind of cyber immortality is also possible. A computer with consciousness will be available in 2050's. We know that Garry Kasparov the chess champion was defeated by the chess playing computer named deep blue in 1997. So, in 2050's we will be able to know the electrochemical reactions of the brain accurately and it can be simulated in computer which becomes more conscious and intelligent. Computer chips that replace our brain cells damaged by dimentia will be available within some years.

The advancement in space technology has so far helped us in many ways. Satellites have helped us in the study of changes in oceans, the atmosphere, clouds, weather, rain forests, deserts, cities, farmlands, ice sheets and just about everything else on and even in Earth.It has warned us about global warming and diminishing ozone layer which protects us from harmful ultraviolet rays of sun. The recent discovery of water on the moon has opened up a new way. Scientists says that having that store of water on the moon could be a boon to possible future lunar camps. In addition to a source of drinking water, lunar water ice could be broken into its constituent hydrogen and oxygen atoms, ultimately to be used in rocket fuel. That would mean spacecraft ferrying future colonists to the moon would not have to take fuel for the return trip, or the fuel could be used to launch trips beyond the moon and water could be used as a shield from cosmic radiation. By 2050, there will be excursion packages available to visit moon and other planets.

The advancement in criminology will help us to catch the culprit with ease. The retinal image capture technology will scan the last image captured by the retina of the deceased person which will help us to get hold of the criminal directly and cut short all possible investigation.

We have studied in our school days that one form of energy can be converted into another form of energy. C.D Anderson in 1932 had discovered that mass can also be converted into energy.eg. atomic bomb. Similary,more studies will discover how to convert energy back to mass. In 2050, we will be able to travel from Bombay to Singapore in split seconds. We just have to get into a transmitting machine in Bombay which will convert our body mass to energy and transmit it to singapore where the energy will get converted back to body mass. Thus we will save travel time.

There is an organisation called CRYOCARE. Their main aim is to preserve the bodies in minus degrees and when the cure is discovered they are brought back to life. They wont become old in minus degree and when they are back to life their grand children will be older than grandpa. Mysterious isn't it !!
