After the extremely competitve bidding for the new IPl teams which is going to play in the next IPL season, the Rendezvous Sports owned the Kochi IPL team for a price of $333.33 million (Rs 1,533 crore). The Rendezvous Sports will be owning the team for next 10 years. Kochi IPL team is going to be the first IPL team from Kerala.Pune IPL team
Sahara Adventure Sports offered 370 million (Rs 1,702 crore) for getting the Pune IPl team for the next 10 years.
The total price bid for these two teams was more than 25% of the price bid for the other 8 teams in IPL. After the announcement of two new teams the IPL seaseon 4 which is going to held in 2011 will have 10 teams and a total of 94 matches.
