Significance of Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine which evolved around India in 600BC. It is a complete naturalistic system that depends on the diagnosis of your body's humours and make it into right balance. This system is followed since the Dravidian and Aryans and practised today also. Dhanyamla Dhara(14 days): Warm herbal liquid is poured all over the body in a rythemic way through a special vessel for about 1 hour. This treatment is very effective for Hemiplegia, Paralysis Rheumatic complaints etc.
Dhara(14 days): Some herbal oils, medicated milk etc are poured on the forehead in a special manner. This treatment is mainly for Insomnia, Vatha, Mental tension, skin diseases etc.
Kativasthi: In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept over the lower back with herbal paste boundary. This is good for back pain and spinal disorders.
Kizhi(14 days): Herbal leaves and herbal powders are applied to the whole body in boluses with hot medicated oil. This is good for arthritis, swellings and sports injuries.
Ksheeradhoomam: This is fomentation with dedicated cow milk. This treatment is good for facial paralysis.
Leepam: Medicated herbal paste is applied on the affected part which is good for inflammatory conditions.
Nasyam(14 days): Herbal juices, medicated oils are applied through nose. This is good for headaches, paralysis and mental tensions.
Njavarkizhi(14 days): The body is made to perspire by the application of certain medical puddings externally in the form of boluses tied up in a muslin bag. This is good for cholestrol and BP.
Pizhichil(14 days): Luke warm herbal oil is applied all over the body by two to four trained therapist in rhythmic way. This is good for sexual weakness and nervous disorders.
Sirovasthi(14 days): Herbal oils are poured into a cap fitted on the head. This is good for facial paralysis.
Snehapanam(14 days): Medicated ghee is given internally in a proportionally increased quantity. This is good for leukemia, osteoathritis etc.
Thalam: special powder mixed with medicated oil applying on the top of the head. This is good for hemitplegia, obesity, paralysis etc..
Udvarthanam(14 days): Typical massage with herbal powder,good for muscular chest pains, asthma and respiratory problems.
Vasthi(14 days): Oils and herbal extracts are applied through a rectum daily, good for bastic complaints and constipation.
Yoni Prakshalanam(7 days): herbal oils and decorations are applied through vaginal route, good for gynecological disorders.
