Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary : It is about 16 kms from Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad. The best time to visit here is between June and Octobar. Freely roaming elephants and tigers are the main attractions. We can also see many Bisons and Spotted deer.
Edakkal Caves : Edakkal caves are famous for its rocks and stone scripts. It is located 16 kms away from Sulthan Batheri. It is a popular place for archeological excavations.
Chembra peak : Chembra peak is the tallest peak in Wayanad. It is about 2100m above mean sea level. This ia a best place for tourists who like adventure.
Pookot Lake : It is about 3 kms from Lakkidi. Pookot is a fresh water lake and also have a fresh water aquarium. There is also a children's park near this lake.
Lakkidi : It is known as the 'Gateway of Wayanad', with full of natural beauties. This is also one among the places in kerala which recieves high amount of rainfall. Lakkidi View point is the main attraction in Lakkidi.
Pakshipathalam :It is also known as the Ornithologist's paradise where we can see different varieties of birds. Tourists usually go with a binocular to see some rare birds.
Thirunelli Temple : It is located in the bank of Papanashini river and is dedicated to lord Vishnu. It is one of the ancient temples in Kerala. According to hindu mythology Papanashini river has the power to absolve all the sins.
