The famous actress Asin Thottumkal who is simply known as Asin, was born on 26th October 1979 in Kerala to a christian family to a Syrian community.Joseph Tottumkal & Seline Thottumkal is her parents. Joseph Thottumkal was a CBI officer and Seline is working as a surgeon in Ernakulam.Asin's Entry to Film World
Asin spend her school day's on Cochin Navel Public School and ST.Therasa's school. Asin had took part in various extra curricular activities while she was studying. Asin was well determined to become a film star. So she chooses modeling and she became successful in that. Asin was not only the growing face of modeling but also was an excellent painter and a good entrepreneur. She had won several awards for best upcoming entrepreneur. She conducted her own painting exhibition at the very small age. Asin started her career through modeling.She started her modeling at the age of 15. Asin's Lakshmi Varasimha and Gharshana in 2004 were hits.She signed for a Tamil film called M.kumaran son of mahalakshmi which was also a hit but the next film Chakam failed.Sivakashi and Maja (2005)was successful in which she starred against the most youthful actors Vijay and Vikran.This successes gave her the opportunity to act in the film Gajini.In this film she stared against the most popular romantic hero Surya in Tamil.Gajini was released on 2005 which was a blockbuster and made her won Second film fare award for the category best Tamil actress.Then her movies released in 2006 Varalaru,Annavaram were also successful.
In 2007,she again teamup with the successful heroes in Pokri and Vel.Then her next film was with ulakanayakan Kamalhasan.2008 was a lucky year for Asin.Through the Hindi remake of Gajini she made her debut in bollywood.This film made her more popular than she was .She bagged many international projects which can me marked as a mile stone in her career.They were Tanishq,Bigbazar,Faireveretc.Then she tried Vipul sha's London dreams which was a flope and this film doesn't helped her.Now again she is trying her luck in Tamil film Kavalkaran.Asin is currently active in all social interacting services like Twitter.Asin as a person
