BSE SENSEX Loses 68.02 Points amidst Volatile Trade Today

As against the net purchase today at both Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) and National Stock Exchange(NSE)combined at Rs. 671.12 crores,by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), theDomestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) made a net sale of Rs 802.95 crores on October 2010.

TheBombay BSE Benchmark Index Sensex opened at 20,461.98, saw a high of 20,560.54, and a low of 20,383.16 before closing at 20407.71, a loss of 68.02 points or 1.93% over the Monday's close of 20475.73 points. NSE Nifty opened at 6159.45 then went up to 6188.35 during the intra day and low of 6118.05 and ended the day at 6145.90, which was a fall of 0.22 % over its previous close. The major gainers in Nifty were RPOWER, RELCAPITAL, BAJAJ-AUTO, RELINFRA, RCOM while the major losers were HDFC, BHARTIARTL HDFCBANK HINDALCO HINDUNILVR
