Nokia has launched their new touch screen smart phone NOKIA C7 in Indian market. This new stylish smart phone is made with giving more preference to social networking. This phone is almost the same as that of Nokia N8 with same operating system and looks apart from absence of 12 Mega Pixel camera and HDMI. The Nokia C7 and Nokia N8 are made differently to overcome the demerits of Nokia N900. The Nokia N900 failed to capture the minds of Indians because of its size and people find it difficult to carry in their pocket. So this time Nokia has taken special care to reduce the size so that it fits comfortably in everyone's pocket. Nokia C7 is really thin and weighs only 130 grams. The size is 17.3x56.8x10.5mm (length, breadth and height respectively). This is the perfect size to fit in your hand and it's really pretty while comparing with other phones of C Series. But the main attraction of C7 is its price. It is priced about 19500 rupees in Indian Market. It may vary from region to region.
The Nokia C7 has come up with resolution 640x360 pixels, 3.5 inches, covered with glass and allows up to 16 million colours. Underneath the touch screen are provided with menu button and call answer and call end keys. The front side has given a smooth shinning finish. The rear side is superb with a metal back plate covering the battery and the camera a quarter of the way down the back. It is in built with dual high quality and high clarity speakers. The camera is not as good as that of Nokia N8, but better than the other smart phones from Nokia. It is equipped with 8 Megapixel camera with a dual LED flash. You can click between 3 home pages on the main screen with each having six slots for keeping widgets. There are many widgets available in Nokia OVI store. On the side screen lock slider, camera shutter button, volume key and voice command keys are provided. Treaded messaging facility provided in Nokia E7, C6 and N8 is also available in C7. The screen can be used both in portrait and landscape mode. While messaging, in portrait mode the keyboard is alphanumeric while in landscape it is QWERTY.
Nokia C7 is most suited for social networking. It helps to keep in touch with your friends and family with live updates from Facebook and Twitter directly on home screen. You can share your photos directly from the phone itself, or you can share on TV. So this phone again creates a revolution in social networking. This helps to keep your friends closer all the time. There's Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth (version 3), GPS and HSDPA. Wi-Fi is easy to setup and coupled with the speedy browser, surfing the web is a pleasing experience.
Nokia C7 cannot overweigh Nokia N8. C7 is a cheaper edition of N8. But comparing with N8, C7 is available at an affordable price in the market. This factor makes C7 more sensible in the market.
