(a) SMT (Sree Moolam Technical Institute) Overseer Course (Two Years Course)
OR
(b) Draftsman Course, College of Engineering, Guindy
OR
(c) Group certificate under KGTE
OR
(d) A Pass in eight Subjects Under KGTE/MGTE viz
1. Surveying and Leveling (Higher)
2. Applied Mechanics (Higher)
3. Building Materials and constructions. (Higher)
4. Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher)
5. Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher)
6. Earth work and Road making (Higher)
7. Geometrical Drawing (Lower) or Practical Plane and Solid Geometry (Lower)
8. Mensuration (Lower)
OR
(e) Certificate Course of College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram (2 Years course).
OR
(f) Draftsman (Civil) or Draftsman (Mechanical) Diploma
