August 15 is the upcoming Mollywood Mammootty movie, directed by Shaji Kailas and scripted by S N Swami. Mammootty is donning the role of his famous Investigative Officer Perumal as in August 1 in this movie too.
"August 15 The 'D' Day" is the upcoming film of megastar Mammotty , directed by Shaji Kailas. This is a sequel to the 1988 film August 1, directed by S.N Swami. Mammotty is donning the same role of investigative officer Perumal in this movie also. Famous script writer S.N Swami penned the script in the sequel too.

Mammootty looks stylish and handsome as Perumal in August 15. Perumal will be seen riding a bullet motorcycle throughout the movie. Perumal won't be seen in the well packed Police Uniform, but he will be seen in the civilian dress throughout the movie.
He has changed his look a lot to fit in the action oriented movie. Malayalam film lovers can see a different Perumal from August 1. 
Plot/Story of August 15
The story of August 15 is almost similar to August 1. This movie also moves through the confusion prevailed about murders and the breath taking investigation from Crime Branch Officer Perumal. In the movie, Perumal is in the investigation on the assassination attempt on the Chief Minister of Kerala on Independence Day of India, hence the name. August 15 Release Date
According to the latest report, Mammootty is giving more importance to August 15. It means that the film will be released soon in theatres. Fans expect to see Perumal in screens on 3rd February 2011.
Mammooty has converted lot of Police characters to super hits and fans hope the same to happen for the return of Perumal too.
