Indian Team announced for ICC World Cup 2011

Indian team for the up coming ICC World Cup 2011 has been announced. India included three spinners in the team.There is a surprise inclusion of the leg spinner Piyush Chawla and Tamil Nadu spinner R Aswin. Rohit Sharma and Kerala pace bowler S Sreesanth has been dropped from the world cup 2011 squad.

India's major concern about the selection was the injuries of the four major players namely Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and quick bowler Praveen Kumar. But all the four where selected in-spite of their injuries. The selection board expects that they will be fit for the tournament which starts on February 19.

The squad has six batsmen, four pacers, three spinners, one all rounder in Yusuf Pathan and a wicket keeper in captain Dhoni.Zaheer Khan will spearhead the pace bowling department with Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar and Ashish Nehra being the others.Harbhajan Singh is the main spinner ,Chawla and Ashwin are the other slow bowlers.
