K.C. Venugaopal to join Union Cabinet
K. C. Venugopal, the MP from Alappuzha, will join the Union Cabinet. He is supposed to be sworn in on Wednesday. Mr. Venugopal is the MP from Alappuzha. With his inclusion, Alappuzha will have three ministers in the Central Cabinet, others being Mr. A.K. Antony and Mr. Vayalar Ravi. He is likely to be assigned to the Food Ministry. Currently, Mr. Sharad Pawar is holding the charge of food ministry. He may lose this ministry to Mr. K. V. Thomas, who is tipped to become the independent minister in charge of the Food Ministry.
Congress men Mani Shankar Iyer, Manish Tiwari and Rajeev Shukla will be also sworn in on Wednesday along with members from Trinamul congress and DMK.
