Director Kiran is new to the Cinema Industry but he has proved his worth in the Mini-Screens, Kiran was the director of the supper hit Comedy soap Ettu Sundarikalum Njanu. Kundumbasree Travels recently got a clean U certificate from the censer board. Kudumbasree Travels will hit 55 screens across Kerala on 21 January 2011.

Jayaram had a decent 2010, Sajisurendran director Happy Husbands was one of the big grosser of 2010 his last movie, Santhyan Antikadu Directer Kadhathudarunnu got the investment back. Jayaram plays the character of Aravindan a family member of Chakkiyar kooth, an art form of kerala .Interestingly Jayaram acts in the movie without a moustache to get the look of a chakkiyar.The story takes place in a remote village Chithirapuram village, where there are no Morden facilities and hardly few have seen the City. 
The only bus services in the Village of “Chithirapuram is Kudumbasee Travels". Aravindan Character played by Jayaram and his innocent villagers set out a journey to the Town for the marriage of Jayaram(Aravindan) in the bus named Kudumbasree Travels.
The story is also of Aravindan'S Uncle Pachu(Jagathy Sreekumar) and his friend Nittar (Manian Pillai Raju). They try to prevent Aravindas marriage to the rich lady named Awathy. Pachu intension is to get Aravindan Married to his daughter.
The twist in the story takes place when the marriage party meet Sreedevi(Bhavana). She is real stranger to the villagers. Then the story focuses on the mystery behind the lady Sreedevi as the film progress with unfolding the mystery and at mean time there develops a romance between Aravindan and Sreedevi.Cast and Crew of Malyalam Movie Kudumbasree Travels
