G. Venugopal is a well known playback singer of malayalam film industry. He was launched into the Malayalam film music world with the movie Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare. Since then he went on to sing about 300 songs. His song Chandana Manivathil Paathi Chaaari… from the movie Marikkunnilla Njaan is an extremely popular hit.

G. Venugopal is a popular Malayalam film playback singer. A native of Thiruvanthapuram, he had attended Kerala University. He is a postgraduate in Literature and Journalism.Musical Career
His first movie was Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare released in 1985. His song Chandana Manivathil Paathi Chaaari… from the movie Marikkunnilla Njaan had won a lot of critical acclaim. His songs in the movies Moonnampakkam and Sasneham are favorites of Malayali music lovers. He had sung for about 300 movies, including Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil.
He is also very active in non-filmi album music, with over 250 albums to his credit.His album Kavyaragam was well noticed in the literary circle. In Kavyaragam,' Venugopal had sung some of the poems of O.N.V. Kurup, Sugathakumari, Sachidanandan, Kadammanitta Ramakrishnan, Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri, and V. Madhusudanan Nair. Suresh Krishna was the music composer.
Having hailed from a family of gifted classical musicians has no doubt shaped the formative years of this talented young singer. He resides in Thiruvananthapuram with his wife, Reshmi and two children, Arvind and Anupallavi.Awards
