How to change mobile operator to Idea

- The customer has to get their Unique Porting Code (UPC) first. To get that code, just sent an SMS in the prescribed format PORT space 10 digit mobile number to 1900.
- After getting your UPC, you have to visit your nearest Idea Customer Care or Idea Store and have to submit the required documents and have to fill an application form regarding portability.
- After applying and filling the application form, Idea will provide you a new SIM card and you have to use with that card with a prescribed date by them and now MNP is activated.
- The port-in fee is just Rs. 37 which includes the porting charge of Rs. 19 and New SIM charge of Rs. 18.


MNP Tips for Idea Customers


- If you are willing to port to Idea from your old service provider, please don't forget to use the credits of your old service provider, since money will not be exchanged after you have been ported.
- The porting facility has a me period of 90 days, which means the customer has to wait for 3 months if they are again willing to change the service provider.
- The mandatory documents you have to submit while porting to Idea are, Identity proof and a passport size photo.
