The Metro is the new Malayalam movie directed by Bipin Prabhakar(Samastha Keralam director). The movie tries to unfolds a thrilling story in the backdrops of Cochin city. Tamil veteran actor Sharath Kumar along with young actors of Malayalam film industry gives a commendable performances in The Metro. Bhavana is the heroine in The Metro which has Jagathy, Suraj venjarammood, Suresh krishna and Nishanth Sagar as the supporting cast. Story of The Metro Malayalam Movie
Parathikadan Shaji is the Don in Cochin city who has strong relations to the political gang. Freddy(Nishanth Sagar), the brother of Shaji involved in a case which is now investigated by C.I. Alexander9Sharath Kumar). In the mean time a group of 4 friends Sujaathan (Suraj), Usman (Malarvadi Fame Bhagath), Sooraj (Speed The Track Fame Arun) and Gopan(Biyon) started a journey to welcome their friend Hari(Nivin Pauli Malarvadi fame) returned from Gulf. They plan a journey to Pala to give a parsal which is given by the Boss of Hari. On the return, they met with an accident with the car of Freddy. And they witness an important incident that involved Freddy. Knowing this, Shaji and the gang follows the group of friends and now they have no way to escape. The answer is 'not exactly that good, but not bad'. The first half of the movie dragged in most places and the songs too are not good. But the director used the entire first half to introduce all the characters and to set a good plot for the thrilling second half. The post interval part of the film is the highlight of the film, which involves some good thrilling scenes, but not up to our expectation. Bhavana just came in 2 or 3 scenes , an unwanted character. What is best in the film, is the performance of all the characters. The young actors deserves a special mention for coming up with decent performances. Nivin Pauly shows his talent once more through The Metro. He will be here for quiet some time. Bhagath, Beon and Arun cakewalks through their roles. Sharath Kumar steals the show with his excellent dialogue delivery. There are so many dialogues given to him, sometimes a bit lengthy. Suraj has some sentiment scenes in this film, a little over. Otherwise, he handled the comedy in an OK manner. Suresh Krishna , once again in villain get up(like Karyasthan, Paapi Appachan), but a treat to watch. Bhavana has to appear cute in his role, no more to do.
The direction of Bipin Prabhakar is better than his previous movies, but not up to the mark. He tried his best to thrilling the audiences, but in vain. The story and screenplay by Vyasan Edavanakad is not bad. Considering he is a debutant, it needs appreciation. The songs form Shaan rahman-Rajeev Alungal team are average. The back ground score is good in thrilling scenes. Editing by Mahesh Narayanan and Cinematography by Sree Sreeram suit with the film to an extend.Positives
