Sri T K Kurien has been selected as the new CEO for the Wipro Consultancy Services which is the country's third largest software firm.
Sri T K Kurien is replacing Girish Paranjpe and Suresh Vaswani as chief executive officer of the IT business when they step down from 1st February 2011 and will be the new CEO for the Wipro Consultancy Services. He will not only be the Chief Executive Officer, he will be the Executive Director in the company's board. He is currently in charge of the eco energy division of the company, a new initiative, which had been launched earlier.

Kurien has been the new President of Communication & Media, President of Wipro Eco-Energy and President of Wipro Consulting Services Global Programs & Strategic Initiatives of the company Wipro Ltd, which is the country's third largest software firm, since 2008. He has also served as the Chief Executive officer of Wipro BPO Solutions Limited which was also callled Wipro Spectramind Services Private Limited. Sri T K Kurien serves as a Chief Executive of Telecom and Internet Service Provider (TISP) vertical in Wipro Technologies and has achieved wide experience in the healthcare industry as well.
Sri Kurien has been serving as the President of Wipro HealthScience since January 30, 2003, which was the new business segment of Wipro Limited. This company was formed in April 2002 to address the market opportunities in Healthcare and Life Science IT. Sri T K Kurien had worked with Wipro GE Medical Systems Limited in various capacities for over 10 years of his working life.
