National Voters’ Day / Voters’ ID Card Distribution In Kerala
National Voters' Day is observed today on Jan 25. Kerala Governor RS Gavai will inaugurate the Day at Kanakakkunnu Palace in Thiruvanthapuram today at 12.30 PM. Distribution of Voters ID cards to newly-registered voters will take place after that.

More than 10 lakh newly-registered voters will be receiving their ID cards today. Jan 25 is being observed as National Voters' Day, and State Election Commission has done elaborate arrangements to distribute ID cards on this occasion.
Governor R.S. Gavai will inaugurate National Voters' Day observation at Kanakakkunnu Palace in Thiruvanthapuram at 12.30 PM on Tuesday. Following this, ID card distribution will be take place through 20758 polling booths in 11478 locations at 3 PM.
As per new voters' list, Kerala has 2.28 crore voters. Of these, 1.09 are men and 1.19 are women. Newly registered voters are 1085163. Voters in 18-19 age group are 318491. Of the newly-registered voters, 4.73 lakh are men and 6.12 are women. Names of 654328 voters were removed from the voters' list.
