Republic Day Celebration 2011 Program lists, schedule etc. Republic Day 2011 Celebration will start by the hosting of Indian tri-color flag by President of India.

Republic Day 2011 Program Lists

• Laying of wreath by Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate honoring the heroics soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for the country. This will be accompanied by 21 gun salutes.

• Hosting of National Flag by President of India, Pratibha Patil. After the hosting of India's tri-color flag, National Anthem of India will be played.

• Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Indonesian President is the chief guest of the program. He will accompany President of India and other dignitaries during the program.

• President of India takes the salute from the soldiers during the Parade. The parade will start from Raisina Hill at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and then moving along the Rajpath, past India Gate and on to the historic Red Fort in the old quarter of the city.

• There will be Splendid show by Indian Military Force. This includes the showcasing of latest weapons technologies etc. In the 2011 Republic Day celebration, the country will showcase LCA and BrahMos cruise missile.

• Issuing National Bravery Award by the President of India. Bravery awards are given to children who has shown their talents in some bravery acts.

• Showering of Rose flowers from the sky by Indian air force.

• Cultural parade including folk dances and tableus denoting Indian culture. This include tableau from different states showing their art forms and culture.

• After the programs, Indian flag will be lowered exactly at 6pm.
